ARTstor Image Folders & Groups

How to create an ARTstor folder:

  1. Login to ARTstor: username, (faculty email address) and password, (the default password is; artstor )
  2. Click on Share from the drop down menu, select Create Folder
  3. Name the folder after your class so that your students can find it easily. I also recommend adding your last name to the folder title to accommodate multiple course sections. You will be asked a series of questions. I recommend making the folder public at this institution and not allowing anyone else write access (people with write access can alter your image groups).

How to create an ARTstor image group:

You’ve created a folder for your course. Now you have to fill it with image groups.

  1. Login into ARTstor
  2. Search or Advance Search for images you’d like to put into an image group.
  3. Select images by clicking on the thumbnail (a red box will appear around the image)
  4. Click Organize from the drop down menu, select: Save selected images to; New image group.
  5. You’ll be asked to select a folder. Pick the one you just created, title the image group, and save.
