On the Basic Search page, you can enter a video title or the word "videorecording" with your search term and limit to either Lesley-Sherrill Library or Lesley-AIB Library to find videos and DVDs at the Sherrill Library or AIB. Advanced search will provide additional options to narrow your search.

Media Collections at Lesley

This page will help you search for both video and audio materials in the Sherrill Library and AIB Library collections. Some of the library videos can also be viewed online. Check out the Library Videos Online tab to find out more about these. Please note that videos in the library's collection must be reserved in advance. See the box below for more details.

The Library also has a circulating equipment collection, located in the Kresge Media Center, which is now located in University Hall in room 3-070. Click here and also take a look under the Make Your Own Media tab above to find out more.

 

Finding Videotapes and DVDs at Lesley

The Lesley Library video collection is available to Lesley faculty, staff and current students. Listed below are ways to find videotapes and DVDs at Lesley. Pick up of Sherrill Library videos is either at the Sherrill Library on the Brattle campus or at the Kresge Media Center in University Hall room 3-070. 

Please note, videos should be requested at least two business days in advance for pick up at the Kresge Media Center or one business day in advance for pick up at the Sherill Library on the Brattle Campus.   Exceptions: To pick up videos on a Saturday, reserve by Wednesday for Kresge pick up or Thursday for Sherrill pickup.  For pick up on Monday, reserve by Thursday for Kresge pick up or by Saturday for Sherrill pick up. For Sunday pick up at Sherrill (Kresge is closed Sunday), reserve by Thursday.

Videos can be reserved by calling 617-349-8860 or stopping by the Kresge Center in person. 

Please Note:  AIB videos must be requested and picked up at AIB. 

  • Lesley Library Video Catalog Online
    This catalog contains only videos, DVDs and their related guides. Search the Library's online video catalog by keyword, title, subject or producer/distributor. You can limit by format (VHS videotape, DVD) as well as other options such as date and closed captioning.
  • Recent Additions to the Library's Video Collection
    Click for a list of the most recently added videos. Change the "Brief Display" option to "Full Display" to see descriptions of the videos on the same page.
  • Download a PDF of the Library Video Catalog - TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE
    This is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience. You can download your own PDF copy of the entire Ludcke Library's video catalog, just a list of the new titles, or just the subject index here. Be warned, the full catalog is over 200 pages!   • Find Videos at the Sherrill Library and AIB in the FLO Catalog
    In Advanced Search you can enter a search term (title, author, subject or keyword) and limit the location by Lesley-Sherrill Library (for videos at Sherrill), or Lesley-AIB Library (for videos at AIB) and limit the format to "videorecording." If you enter just "videorecording" as your search term and use the same limits, you can get a listing of all videos at Sherill or AIB.

Finding CDs, Tapes and Audiobooks at Lesley

You can find spoken word audiotapes and CDs (such as audiobooks or poetry) and music CDs (mostly world music, classical and jazz) in the Library's FLO catalog. Sound recordings will either be at the Sherrill Library or the AIB library as indicated in the catalog.

In Advanced Search:
- Enter a search term (title, author, subject or keyword) and limit by:
Location: "Lesley - AIB Library"
or "Lesley- Sherrill Library"
Format: "Sound Recording"
Type: "Nonmusical Recording"

If you enter just the words "sound recording" as your search term and use the same limits as above, you can get a listing of all the spoken word sound recordings (including audiobooks) at the Sherrill LIbrary or AIB.

Search for Music CDs in FLO (links to the FLO Advanced Search Page)
In Advanced Search:
- Enter a search term (title, author, subject or keyword) and limit by:
Location: "Lesley - AIB Library"
or "Lesley- Sherrill Library" 
Format: "Sound Recording"
Type: "Musical Recording"

If you enter the just the words "sound recording" as your search term and use the same limits as above, you can get a listing of all the musical sound recordings at the Sherrill Library or AIB.
