Try an online tutorial through Atomic Learning
Free online video tutorials are available through Atomic Learning in MyLesley (under the My Services tab). Programs include iMovie, Movie Maker, Final Cut, Photoshop, PowerPoint and more. Click this link (you must be signed into in myLesley already) to get to the My Services tab and then you'll see a link to Atomic Learning.
Try searching the vendors' sites for free online tutorials for software:
Apple For iMovie, Final Cut, iPhoto, and other Apple applications
Microsoft For Movie Maker video editing software and other Microsoft applications
Adobe For Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premiere and other Adobe Applications
Learn on your own with written directions and books:
Most of our library equipment includes written directions to help you along.
We also have a collection of media reference books for software programs such as iMovie, MovieMaker, Photoshop, PowerPoint and other media programs located in the Kresge Center, as well as other books in the main collection and at AIB.

Borrowing Library Media Equipment
You can borrow equipment from the Kresge Media Center to create your own media! Some of the equipment available includes:
- Digital Video Cameras
- Digital Still Cameras
- Digital Audio Recorders
- Tape and CD Recorders
- Microphones
- Tripods
Equipment circulates for 48 hours. These resources can be borrowed from the Kresge Media Center, located in University Hall in room 3-070.
Call 617-349-8860 to reserve equipment in advance. Please let us also know in advance if you'll need help using the equipment.

Using Media Equipment at the Library
You can do any of the following at the Kresge Media Center, located on the 3rd floor of University Hall, Room 3-070.
- Record video
- Record audio
- Edit video
- Transfer and/or mix audio tapes and CDs (call x8860 to request this equipment in advance)
- Incorporate photographs or sound tracks into videos
- Add video or sound to PowerPoint
- Transfer videos from MiniDV tape, VHS tape, 8mm tape and PAL tapes to and from other formats (call x8860 to request this equipment in advance)
- Create and burn and label DVDs or CDs and make multiple copies
- Scan images
- Create, edit and/or print digital images (print management will be in place for all printers)
- Copy videos or audiotapes (non-copyrighted)
