Attn LA+D Faculty: e-mail Micki (firstname.lastname@example.org) with requests for new eMaterials. Scroll down for some online content we picked out, including digital magazines, eBooks, and streaming video.
The links below will take you to databases you can browse for more content! You can also e-mail us with suggestions for content that you think others might be interested in.
Search for streaming video at research.lesley.edu by typing in keywords (or a specific title), and in your search results use the left-hand menu to limit your results to just Format: Video. Streaming video will have links instead of call numbers. We don't recommend embedding library-subscription videos into Blackboard because it's going to take the students to the full streaming video database to log in first regardless. Just use the Share or Permalink buttons to get a link that works off campus.
Looking for Hollywood feature films? Try the library search first, and then try Tubi. They were bought by Fox Corp last month and are adding content all the time. They have agreements with Paramount Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Lionsgate, Warner Bros. and Universal Pictures.
Search for eBooks at research.lesley.edu by typing in keywords (or a specific title), and in your search results use the left-hand menu to limit your results to just Format: eBooks. If you open up the eBook online you can navigate to a specific chapter and the permalink button will let you link to that specific page for students.
If you typically come in or send your students in to look at our current magazine subscriptions, here are some alternative ways to stay current and browse contemporary art!
