Borrow & Request

Using Other Local Libraries

Lesley students, faculty, and staff may also access materials from other libraries.

Fenway Libraries Online (FLO)

Lesley students, faculty, and staff may borrow materials from all of the libraries in Fenway Libraries Online; remember to bring your Lesley ID card when you go. To request that an item from another FLO library be delivered to Sherrill Library for pickup, select "Make a Request" from the item record in the FLO Catalog; please allow one week for delivery. Contact the Circulation Desk for more information.

Fenway Library Consortium (FLC)

The Fenway Library Consortium is a cooperating group of libraries in the Boston area that includes libraries beyond the FLO network. Lesley students, faculty, and staff may borrow items from any of the FLC libraries; additional registration at the FLC library may be necessary.

Commonwealth Catalog (ComCat)

The Commonwealth Catalog provides one place to search for books in all participating Massachusetts libraries. Make a request through ComCat, and the items will be delivered to you here at Sherrill Library.

Borrowing from the Boston Public Library (BPL)

Lesley community members who work, own property, or live (even temporarily, as a student) in Massachusetts are eligible to borrow materials from the Boston Public Library.

Online registration affords you access to BPL's e-resources, and you may upgrade your privileges to borrow physical materials if you appear in person with proof of your eligibility.

Visit the BPL website for more information about borrowing. You can also call 617-536-5400, or email ask@bpl.org.
