Borrow & Request

Library & Research Help

InterLibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service available to Lesley University students, faculty, and staff that allows them to borrow materials not owned by Lesley Library. To see if Lesley owns a particular article before placing a request, try searching for the title (not full citation) in @LL Search.

We also recommend checking Google Scholar to see if an Open Access version of an article is available before placing an ILL request, as Open Access articles will be available to download immediately. ILLiad requests usually take between 3 days to 2+ weeks to fulfill. Each ILLiad request is sent to a string of up to 10 lending institutions. Depending on how quickly the potential lending institutions respond, it may take up to 2 weeks to fill a request.

To place a request, log into ILLiad. If you have never placed a request before, you will have to register. After that, please fill out the form with as much information about your request as you know.
