MFA Photography & Integrated Media

A guide to research and thesis writing for Lesley Art + Design students in the MFA Photography & Integrated Media program.

Welcome!

The Lesley Library is here to help you develop and blend research, creative inquiry, studio practice, and writing.  This MFA Research Guide is your gateway to research. It includes information about and links to both library and external resources for research in the visual arts. Use the navigational menu to the left to explore this site, and let us know if we should add anything!

Remember you can e-mail Art Librarian Micki Harrington with questions!

New Student To Do List:

  • Register for an Artstor account so that you have access to thousands of high-quality images of artwork
  • Register for an interlibrary loan account so that we can scan chapters of our books to send you, or request journal articles from other libraries (if we don't have it- we'll find it for you!)
  •  Figure out where you're going to keep track of everything you read! You never know what you'll end up needing later for your thesis, so keep track of citations so you can find things again later.  Check out these tools you can use to help you stay organized!

How To: Set Up & Use Artstor
