Our state-of-the-art Ceramics Studio is a well-ventilated and well-lit facility that helps you build a repertoire of traditional and contemporary ceramic skills. The studio includes 16 electric Bailey wheels, hand building tables, 30” Bailey slab roller, clay extruder, pug mill, glaze lab with spray booth, three 10 cu ft computerized electric kilns,18 cu ft gas kiln, and a Potterbot 3D clay printer.
To use the space:
In our printmaking studio, you’ll find etching and lithography presses on the third floor above our wood shop, mixed media studio, plaster room and ceramics studio. Fine art seniors have their own semi-private studios, while all fine arts classrooms and facilities are available for you to work in when a class is not in session.
To use the space:
Black and white darkrooms, 15 individual color darkrooms, an alternative process darkroom, and studios for setting up photo shoots. We have camera, video, and studio equipment, including a wide range of professional lenses, strobe and tungsten lighting, and all chemistry required for darkroom and alternative process work. You’ll provide your own 35mm camera equipment, film, paper, and specialty chemicals.
