History of Humanitarian Organizations Research Guide

Subscribe to RSS Feeds

Subscribing to RSS feeds is a great way to keep up with relevant articles for your Newsfeed Blog assignment. RSS can automatically collect stories from non-governmental organizations, mainstream news outlets, and blogs, and lets you read them in the feed reader of your choice. RSS readers include services such as Feedly and Digg Reader, as well as mobile apps like Flipboard. You can Tweet to @L_humanitarians directly from the RSS readers. Email software such as Mozilla Thunderbird and Microsoft Outlook also handle RSS feeds.

If you are new to RSS, check out the quick tutorial at rssday.org.

On this page of the Research Guide, you can see some RSS feeds specializing in humanitarian aid and humanitarian emergencies. You will find an RSS feed for the ICRC, CARE, UNHCR, and MSF on each of their tabs as well. Simply click on the orange button to add the RSS feed to your own RSS reader!
