Lesley University Library Guide for Distance Students

Welcome!

Welcome to your Lesley Library Guide for Distance Students! We offer a robust array of remote services, including virtual library reference services and research support.  Scroll down for info on all of our services and resources and how to access them.

Whether you're studying and creating on campus or at a distance, we've got your back!

Accessing Materials

Search for electronic materials you can access anywhere, and physical materials you can schedule for pick-up, using the @LL Search bar on the library homepage: research.lesley.edu

Instructions for Linking to Electronic Materials:

Click on the title of a resource in your search results to view the full record. Click the Permalink button on the right-hand side and copy that link that pops up (links copied from the URL bar at the top will not work for others even if they work for you).

Instructions for accessing the full-text of an article, if Lesley does not own the title:

If you find an article and the full text cannot be found within our databases or via the internet, you are welcome to request the article via Interlibrary Loan. We will search for a library that does own the full-text and request the title from there. Please note, ILL requests take anywhere from 3 business days to 2 weeks to fill.

Instructions for Requesting New Materials:

To request a new resource for the collection, for consideration, you may use our Resource Request form. We prioritize e-books and streaming media for course materials, and can even purchase electronic versions of current print holdings.

Instructions for Returning Materials:

Checked out materials can be returned in the Library book drops outside of Sherrill Hall, Moriarty Library, and UHALL 3rd floor. Overdue fines will not accrue on Lesley materials. Please start to return any books you are no longer using if you can, and if you want to keep them for longer or cannot return them right now, please email us at libcirc@lesley.edu.

Library Instruction & Reference

Ask Us Reference Services:

There are numerous ways to contact us if you have any library related questions including live chat and virtual reference consultations.

Visiting Library Instruction & Faculty Consultation

Librarians work with faculty to determine the best format and delivery model for instructional sessions.

And we continue to be available through our chat and Ask Us! Service via email, and for research consultations. We are also revamping our help portal for improved 24/7 self-help guides and FAQ.
