Room Reservations During COVID-19

The Sherrill and Moriarty Libraries are currently closed as part of the University's COVID-19 response and as such, room reservations are unavailable and policies below may not be applicable. For questions, please ask us!

Room Reservation Policy

Lesley University students, faculty and staff may reserve individual or group study spaces in both Sherrill Library and Moriarty Library with their accounts. Spaces can be reserved using the reserve a room service, which can be accessed on either a mobile device or computer. Rooms can be reserved up to two weeks in advance.

Rules and Guidelines

  • Rooms may be reserved for a maximum of 3 consecutive hours.
  • Reservations may be made up to 14 days in advance.
  • Rooms may only be reserved during library open hours.
  • All patrons must check in at the circulation desk at the beginning of their reservation.
  • The Information Desk will distribute keys to patrons who have reserved individual study rooms/carrels.
  • Patrons who arrive more than 15 minutes late, or who fail to check in at the Information Desk, may find their reservations released.
  • If you are using a room that another patron has reserved in advance you must leave when that patron arrives.
  • Keep rooms neat and return all furniture to its original location.
  • Users are responsible for personal property—safeguard your belongings!
  • Our Community Standards of Conduct apply to the use of study rooms.
  • Library staff reserve the right to cancel or otherwise amend reservations at their discretion.
