Test Collection Guide

Access to Tests

  • Your instructor will submit a Test Access Form with the names of all students in your section and the titles of tests you are permitted to view. Students who are not listed on the Test Access Form for their respective section may not view assessments.
  • For students who are added late to the roster, an email to librarytest@lesley.edu from the faculty member can satisfy the clearance criteria.
  • If you need to use a test for presentations in your weekend course, please make arrangements with your instructor.
  • Tests are used in the Sherrill Building only and may not be photocopied.
  • Tests are for examination only and may not be used for clinical purposes.

How to Reserve a Test

How to Reserve a Test at Sherrill Library

  • Telephone: Students may reserve tests by calling 617-349-8850 during library hours.
  • E-mail: Students may also request a test reservation by emailing asklib@lesley.edu, during library hours or when the library is closed.
  • Test should not be considered "reserved" until student receives a confirmation e-mail from the library.  Please allow at least 1 business day for processing your request.
  • Tests may be reserved for 1-4 hour blocks of time, depending on availability.
  • Students may reserve multiple tests but may only check out and use 1 test at a time.
  • Tests may be used only in the Sherrill Building.
  • Tests will be checked out to your Lesley library account. (If you have holds on your account due to lost or overdue materials, you may need to clear these before you can borrow your test.)
  • Please return your test on time!! If you need to use the test for longer than initially reserved, ask at the info desk. We will renew it for you if there are no conflicting reservations. Please note: if you return your test late you may accrue library fines!
  • Library will hold test for 15 minutes past your reservation start time. After that, will give test to someone else if requested. If you are running late, please let us know.
  • Reproduction of tests by scanning, photocopying or photographing is not allowed. PLEASE do not duplicate test materials in any way.
  • Only students on approved class lists may view tests.
  • Please note: Once a test is reserved, by student or faculty member, the library will not override that reservation under any circumstances.  If you need a test that is reserved by someone else, you may coordinate with them to work out a sharing arrangment.
  • Study carrels and group study rooms may be reserved using our room reservation system.

Where to Pick Up Tests

  • To view a test, bring your Lesley ID to the Information Desk on the first floor of the Sherrill Library. Students present a valid Lesley ID to access the collection.
  • We will charge the test to your library account, for use in the library only. No other form of ID is accepted--please bring your Lesley ID (which also functions as your library card) when you come to use the collection.

Where to Work with the Tests

Book a room in Sherrill Library with a test using our room reservation system.

If there are no rooms available, feel free to use any of the tables in the library, or ask at the information desk about using a classroom.
