I Need Help Logging In

Many Lesley University Library resources can be accessed from off campus, but you need a Lesley account. It's the same username and password you use to access myLesley and your Lesley email. Network IDs are given to current Lesley students, faculty, and staff. Forgot your login information? Ask IT!

What am I logging in to? Am I already logged in?
When you log in to access library resources, you're logging in to a service called EZproxy that is used to give users access to library subscription content when they're outside of the campus network. EZproxy is separate from Blackboard, even though you use the same credentials.

How do I log in?
There are two ways you can be prompted to log in to EZproxy: when you click on a URL with our EZproxy prefix, or from the search results page on @LL Search. When you're prompted to log in, use your myLesley username without the "@lesley.edu" part, and your myLesley password.

I'm on a different website, and they're asking me to log in. Do I need to log in again?
If you try to access an article that asks you for a username and password other than your Lesley ID (or that asks you to pay for an article), you might be visiting a publisher's website without first going through the Lesley University Libraries. If you have a specific article you wish to access in full-text, visit the guide to finding a specific article.

Some library databases offer optional personal accounts in order to save search strategies, articles, or books, separate from your Lesley ID. Logging in to a personal account does not provide access to resources; only EZproxy does.

I'm still having trouble logging in. What else can I do?

  • Try clearing your cache. Your browser may be storing content from previous sessions, interfering with your ability to log in. Try clearing your cache and restarting your browser to start fresh.
  • Try using a different browser. Sometimes different browsers are incompatible with different databases for technical reasons. Switching browsers can help alleviate this issue.
  • Check your browser's saved passwords. If you use your browser to save login information, check your password manager to make sure your password is up-to-date.

I still have questions about my Lesley Network ID or password. You can get password help here and get help online through IT!
